Norsborg - Norrmalmstorg

SEGREGATION STOCKHOLM - The projects aim was to investigate the different social borders that is built up in a city holds. Together with Katrin Greiling, I investigated how one, as an architect, can work towards braking these segregatingl walls. Can we get people to be more concious of ones own restrictions and prejustices, and can we encourage other patterns of behavoiur in the public space? We regard Stockholm as a very narrowminded city and our aim with this project was to evoke some debate in the subject, visullay in the public room of Stockholms streets.

The Other End of Line - I believe one of Stockholms problems being the gap between the central city and the suburbs. It is a common fact that the citypeople hardly travel outside the central zone of the public transport. A person waiting at the stop of Norrmalmstrog, a central citysquare, is often ignorant of the fact that the same bus will continue all the way out to one of Stockholms many suburbs. I have studied the busstop as a natural meeting point in the city. There is so many borders crossed on the trip from center to outskirt and both the culture of the architecture and people will change radically.

What are the views looking out from someones local busstop? By changing what the waiting person sees through the glass I wanted to give the inhabitants of Stockholm a reminder of other parts of Stockholm. On the other end of line. The execution of the project is adhesive transparant vinylprints of the view you would have on opposite sides of a line. Standing on one end waiting for the bus, one would get the view the person on the other end would have when waiting for his bus.
